What Dreams Are Made Of

Through sacrifice and resilience, 4S Farms was established in 2016 by Casey and Kara Shires in the picturesque landscape of North Texas. This was a long put together dream and through their strong faith, a pure-bred cattle ranch was born. Through meticulous breeding practices and a deep understanding of genetics, we ensure that our Hereford cattle exhibit the desirable traits that have made the breed a cornerstone of the industry. The people, the history, and the heritage of ranching  in our country emphasizes what is important to our family– culture.

The name 4S originated from Casey and Kara's 4 children - Sutton, Estelle, Drew, and Boone. It was their dream to provide a place for their four children to be able to grow up and know how to appreciate all the natural God given wonders that living in the country provides. At 4S Farms, we value a Christian perspective of taking care of our land, providing nutritious grasses and protein for our cattle, and most importantly, responsible land management.

It is our responsibility to create a legacy that properly cares for, protects, and improves our land for generations to come. 4S farms stands for God, Family, and Preservation. First, God provides the resources that can only come from Him. Secondly, 4S Farms provides a place for not only our family, but for other families to experience. Lastly, it is our hope that we are good stewards of the land we have been blessed with to preserve all the factors that will give our land the ability to produce the best nutrients to all our cattle.
