Casey Shires, Founder of 4S Farms
Casey Shires, the heart and soul behind this endeavor, is driven by his passion for preserving the cultural heritage of agriculture and livestock management. Casey grew up in Denison, Texas and although he did not come from a ranching family, his dream was to one day make this a reality. Because of his genuine appreciation for the wonders of nature and the peace being outdoors brought to him, it was only a matter of time before his dreams came true. Upon graduating from Denison High School, he attended Texas Tech University for business school, but his favorite classes were his electives in the agriculture school.
Years after earning his degree, he started his own company, Cross Development, with a plan to use the success he gained from this to purchase a ranch. Not owning the “family ranch” was a challenging mountain to climb, but through God’s guidance, his dream finally came true. In less than 10 years, 4S Farms has grown to approximately 150 head of the highest genetically bred cattle to be found. Casey established an amazing relationship with a 4th generation ranching family who only offers the best in genetics for registered Hereford cattle. From the first bull and heifer bought, he went straight to the best to establish the finest set of cattle for the best foundation. This has given 4S Farms some of the very best cattle to be found anywhere around North Texas or Southern Oklahoma.
Casey's goal with 4S has always been the big picture– the long term, generational goal. He believes it is the relationships you create along the way that bring forth not only the most success, but the best memories that will last a lifetime. Casey wants to welcome you to 4S Farms and allow us to have a chance to treat you like family– from a very proud rancher to your home!

David Chacon
David Chacon is the proud husband of Ana Chacon and Father of Rolando and Brittley. He was born and raised around Cattle as both of his grandparents were Cattle Raisers. David’s father had a few heads throughout his upbringing, so he was always helping him gather cattle to work them, feed them, and even with milking cows by hand!
David did take a short break after graduating high school to pursue a different profession, but still found joy in staying involved on the weekends. A few years after meeting Casey Shires, they officially decided to get into the Registered Hereford Cattle industry with a few heads in 2017. David liked their temperament and enjoyed the process very much.
As time passed, they continued to add head to the herd and now mastered the profession. From hay to cattle to a couple of nice horses, they truly love living the ranch lifestyle. Whether it is a hot summer or cold winter, you can find David along with the team at 4S Farms honored to be part of this business.

Rolando Chacon
Rolando Chacon is the son of David and Ana Chacon. He grew up in the small town of Sherman, Texas where the thought of working with cattle on a farm always fascinated him. In 2022, Rolando proudly accepted the honor of working at 4S Farms with his father.
Rolando describes this opportunity as something he did not hesitate to accept as he knew this was his passion. At 4S Farms, Rolando believes their success is displayed because of the love they have for this field. When one sees their cattle, he proudly recognizes that the care they provide for them is evident.
